Your game progress, streaks, stats, solve times, hints used, settings (like hiding the clock) and which artists you have reported or suggested are kept in your browser's local storage, on your device only. We can't see them.

A short list of names you typed that we don't have is kept in session storage, only to avoid counting repeats, and goes away when you close the tab.

There are no cookies. Clearing your site data for this site resets all of it.

The site used to live at setguess.tbssnch.dev. So your streak comes with you, the old address passes your saved game to the new one inside the link itself (the part after the #). That part stays in your browser and is never sent to a server, and it is removed from the address bar as soon as the new site has read it.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and anonymizes visitors. We also log a few anonymous events, like which hints get used, when the site breaks, and names people search for that we don't have. None include personal info.

The name you type into the guess box is one of those, so please don't type anything personal there.

Data reports (the “?” flags), artist suggestions and the contact form send what you type to a private Slack workspace that only we can read. Reports and suggestions carry no name or contact info. The contact form includes the name and contact info you give, which we use only to reply.

Our servers may briefly process your IP address to limit spam. It is held in memory for that only, and is not stored or put in the Slack message. Our host, Vercel, also handles your IP address as part of delivering the site.

Playing a clip loads audio from Deezer, so Deezer sees your IP address, like any site you load audio from. Your browser loads nothing from Deezer until you press play. If you used the clip hint, the song's title is shown after the game with a link to Deezer. It only loads Deezer's site if you click it.

To ask about a message you sent, or have it deleted, use the contact form on the promoter page. Say roughly when you sent it and what it said. Data reports and suggestions have nothing tying them to you, so we may not be able to find one.
